Construction & Engineering Industry

I founded ProSafe Global after spending my career working inside the construction and engineering industry — not just recruiting for it.

I originally trained and began my career as a mechanical engineer, which gave me a strong technical foundation and an understanding of how design, engineering, and construction must work together to deliver safe, successful projects.

I founded ProSafe Global after spending my career working inside the construction and engineering industry — not just recruiting for it.
From leaving school I began my career within the nuclear industry, completing an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering. I have worked in highly regulated environments ever since and this experience gave me a strong technical foundation and an understanding of how design, engineering, and construction must work together to deliver safe, successful projects
Early in my career I also spent several years travelling internationally, funding my travels through casual, hands-on work on construction sites, including labouring and other site-based roles. While these were not formal career positions, they gave me valuable first-hand exposure to the realities of site life — long hours, physical demands, safety pressures, and the importance of strong supervision and teamwork.
As my professional career progressed, I moved into more senior project roles, including working as a Sub Agent, Health & Safety Professional, and Senior Project Manager on major infrastructure and construction projects, including some of the largest projects in Europe. In these roles I was responsible for safety performance, programme delivery, subcontractor management, and leading multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments.
This mix of technical training, site exposure, and leadership responsibility means I understand construction roles from multiple angles — from what it takes to perform on site, to what clients truly need from the people they hire.
My aim is simple: to provide a recruitment service that reflects the standards and professionalism I expected when I was delivering projects myself.

Why I Started a Recruitment Company

Throughout my project career, one issue came up repeatedly:
The cost of getting recruitment wrong.
Poorly matched hires don’t just affect productivity — they impact safety, morale, programme, and ultimately project success. I often found myself helping to assess candidates, advising on capability, or trying to solve problems caused by roles that had been filled based on CVs rather than true job fit.
I realised that recruitment in specialist construction roles should be done by someone who genuinely understands:

ProSafe Global was created to bridge that gap — combining professional recruitment practices with real industry experience.
